Beyond the elaboration of our formulas, we wish to go further by having a total control of the purchase of raw materials, manufacturing and control on our ISO 22716 certified site based in Carros, a commune of Nice Côte d'Azur. This control allows us to guarantee traceability and vigilance for optimal safety, a constant level of quality and fair prices.

 

 

At SOSkin and for over 30 years, the art of formulation is a matter of experience. Because science advances, regulations evolve and the way we look at ingredients changes. To ensure its barrier function and provide effective protection against daily aggressions, our skin has the natural ability to regenerate itself. We have deciphered this mechanism and designed formulas that are inspired by it, so that they are better tolerated. By working with the skin, they maintain the right balance between stimulation and tolerance: this is what we call "biocompatibility".

 

To do this, we have selected ingredients that are easily assimilated by the skin, eliminating those that could cause irritation or allergic reactions and favouring those that guarantee the safety and stability of the formulas.

We believe that not all synthetic ingredients are bad. Natural ingredients, while they have great marketing potential, are not all good either. Some of our active ingredients are created in the laboratory and we are happy to use them. Some natural ingredients can be sensitising, so you won't find them in our formulas.

We conduct reconstituted epidermis tests to assess the biocompatibility of our formulas as well as in-vivo clinical studies under dermatological control. This ensures that the selected ingredients remain effective until they are used by the skin, without causing skin reactions or damage at the cellular level.

We exclude from our formulas any ingredient that may present a risk to human health or the environment by excluding the use of endocrine disruptors, ecotoxic active ingredients such as mineral sunscreens, sunscreens in the form of nanoparticles, and by conducting toxicity and biodegradability tests.
